About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and automation systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, controls, and automation issues, including PLCs, networks, drives, and safety devices
- Support equipment improvements through control changes and system upgrades
- Assist mechanics and operators with diagnosing control-related problems
- Write, modify, and maintain moderate to complex control programs
- Maintain system backups and update electrical schematics and documentation
- Participate in planned shutdowns, electrical distribution work, and capital or major maintenance projects
- Follow safety, quality, food safety, and environmental requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–3 years of industrial electrical and automation experience
- Manufacturing-environment experience preferred, with additional instrumentation and calibration experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Associate’s degree in industrial electrical technology or E&I journeyman certification preferred
- Ability to read and understand English for safety procedures, work instructions, and maintenance documentation
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to move throughout the shift, work in varying temperatures, loud areas, and confined spaces
- Ability to work off-shifts, weekends, overtime, and extended shifts as needed
- Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, servo systems, safety relays, and control panels
- Experience with Allen Bradley hardware and software and common industrial networks
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills
