About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement Maintenance Foundations and maintenance-related elements of the Nestlé Agile Operations Operating Model for assigned categories
- Serve as liaison between Category Engineering, Hub Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and factory personnel
- Coach, train, and assist factories in executing the Nestlé Maintenance Strategy at optimal cost
- Evaluate, improve, and implement category maintenance strategy
- Report team performance and progress to Corporate Engineering, Technical & Production Leadership, Zone Engineering HUB, and Global Maintenance organizations
- Align team objectives and deliverables with market roadmaps and KPIs
- Ensure category maintenance teams meet factory and market needs
- Align category strategy with Nestlé Continuous Excellence and global maintenance requirements
- Conduct effective factory visits focused on competency building
- Document and communicate processes and systems to factories
- Evaluate and develop the team
- Use internal and external benchmarking to identify improvement opportunities and achieve best-in-class maintenance performance
- Build relationships with factory personnel and gain alignment for maintenance strategy
- Build, improve, and manage M&I budgets
- Develop category competencies supporting M&I objectives
- Implement market processes, tools, guidance documents, and digital solutions
- Create and deliver training materials
- Coach, implement, monitor, and adjust M&I strategy
- Own the maintenance system, including PM pillar, AMM, and maintenance structures
- Ensure programs align with Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems
- Assess critical facilities, lines, processes, and utilities
- Champion engineering tools such as PM, EM, AMM, and EFCA
- Implement maintenance best practices and validate factory implementation
- Ensure factories maintain action plans addressing losses and investigate non-compliance, major breakdowns, and KPI non-conformance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Food Engineering or non-degreed with 20+ Years experience in the food, beverage, or consumer products industries
- 7+ years experience in a technical field, preferably in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry
- Several years as leader of the Maintenance function and/or Factory Engineer in a plant
- Ability to travel at least 50% domestically
- Strong practical knowledge of PM systems, including successful implementation and its impact in TPM
- Experience leading a Maintenance Improvement Team in a factory environment
- Demonstrated ability in indirect leadership and influence strategy at all levels
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS); preferred knowledge of SAP Asset Management Module (AMM)
- Intermediate skills in digital solutions including MS Office, Power BI, and Copilot
- Demonstrated ability to effectively present and deliver content to various levels in an organization
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to communicate and network at all levels of the organization
- High level of motivation and self-management
- Strong team mindset and servant leadership skills
- Core knowledge of the Nestlé Corporate Business Principles and expert knowledge in functional area of responsibility
- Knowledge of Nestlé Engineering Standards and Manufacturing Resources Performance Measurement
- In-depth knowledge of Costing Guidelines, Finance & Accounting principles, and Operational Business Drivers
- Knowledge of food processing plants and technologies, food safety, and hygienic engineering
- Knowledge of Nestlé SH&E standards
- Knowledge of People Development & Management tools
- Knowledge of Nestlé quality, regulatory, IP, and business standards, including NGHE, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001
