About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for all electrical and automation activities during the assigned shift
- Plan, manage and execute projects, including procurement and technical specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the design, implementation and maintenance of electrical, automation, MES and digital systems
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshoot issues
- Train factory operators and technicians
- Provide programming support and participate in commissioning activities
- Ensure environmental and operational safety
- Assist with technical learning materials and competency assessments
- Support process improvement initiatives for quality, safety and efficiency
- Support maintenance strategies, tools and methodologies
- Ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical, instrumentation and control systems
- Ensure E&A installations comply with safety, health, environment and quality standards
- Maintain current E&A documentation, including electrical drawings, and support change processes
- Participate in energy and water savings initiatives and track improvement results
- Assist with asset portfolio, asset condition awareness and capital planning
- Assist in capital investment and industrialization projects, ensuring quality, schedule and budget delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Electrical & Automation engineering experience required in a manufacturing facility in the Food and Beverages industry or other Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
- Preferred: 3 years experience as a Plant Electrical or Project E&A Engineer in a Food industry
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, including low, medium and high voltage installations
- Experience with Wonderware InTouch/Archestra systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems and SAP
- Knowledge of ISA 4.1 and S88 standards and regulations
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
- Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of local electrical codes, standards, processing operations and technology
- Understanding and experience with power distribution in industrial facilities
- Knowledge of instrumentation, calibration processes and process automation
- Knowledge of automation systems and equipment, including HMI, PLC and industrial networks
- Experience troubleshooting basic electrical control systems
- Extensive experience with Rockwell hardware and software applications, Studio5000, Wonderware InTouch and Middleware
- Awareness of FDA and GMP/GAMP regulations and validation in the pharmaceutical or food industry
