About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and performance
  • Service, diagnose, and repair mechanical production equipment
  • Apply knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, chain/belt drives, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, valves, fasteners, seals, gaskets, mechanical fabrication, and rigging
  • Follow work standards and comply with LOTO and safety permitting
  • Service and repair production electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, AC/DC motors, transformers, control devices, instrumentation, and VFDs
  • Work safely with low- and medium-voltage systems
  • Interpret and troubleshoot basic PLC logic
  • Support ingredient handling, milk plant, packaging, storage, and retrieval systems
  • Perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance per schedule
  • Create follow-up work notifications and improvement recommendations in SAP
  • Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and to standard
  • Lead or support continuous improvement activities, including PM optimization and NCE initiatives
  • Review and recommend spare parts for optimal warehouse service levels
  • Provide technical training to operators
  • Engage as an active team member to achieve site goals in safety, quality, and cost

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment required (food industry preferred)
  • Internal/external certifications may be required
  • Understanding of automated equipment and component functionality
  • Proficient in industrial electrical systems, electromechanical troubleshooting, instrumentation, and fluid power
  • Ability to read and interpret control circuits and ladder logic
  • Skilled in mechanical/electrical tools and diagnostic instruments
  • Familiarity with CMMS software and production workflows (SAP preferred)
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Comfortable navigating computer systems to locate and record information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must not require visa sponsorship
  • Two-year technical degree in Industrial or Electromechanical Maintenance, Robotics, or related field preferred
  • 1+ years of industrial electrical/controls experience preferred
