About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement, manage, and improve the factory Food Safety Management System (FSMS)
- Coordinate and ensure factory food safety programs are in place and comply with guidelines
- Oversee sanitation standards and pest activity throughout the factory
- Guide food safety training and knowledge for factory employees
- Monitor pest activity, identify and implement corrective actions, and plan pest control methods and heat treatments
- Lead sanitary processes by working with engineering and maintenance on sanitary equipment design and modifications
- Provide direction, coaching, and performance reviews for product safety employees and contractors
- Communicate with plant and department managers regarding product safety statistics and needs
- Ensure food safety programs comply with regulatory and Nestlé Purina guidelines
- Ensure Foreign Material Prevention and Detection devices are inspected and controlled according to corporate guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, military, or related environment
- 1+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment
- Must be willing to obtain a Pesticide Applicator and Qualified Pesticide Supervisor Certification
- Position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship
