About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and deliver sales for the overall territory
  • Develop relationships with Store Managers and retail personnel
  • Deliver retail value through sales, displays, new items and core distribution
  • Sell incremental volume, promotional displays and additional products
  • Create and execute business reviews with store-level and district-level retail operations personnel
  • Lead expenditure of financial resources responsibly
  • Ensure compliance with retail pricing guidelines
  • Report competitive price changes and promotional support
  • Resolve competitive pricing issues
  • Identify and correct voids and ensure new items are available
  • Merchandise products, achieve schematic compliance, pack out shelves and rotate products
  • Handle unsellable product and resolve out-of-stock and void problems
  • Maintain department/store-level relationships to maximize sales
  • Communicate retail-level market insights to management
  • Conduct store visits, customer visits, meetings and field activities, including driving and occasional overnight travel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of retail sales, merchandising or retail management experience of CPG products preferred, not required
  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication, selling and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) and other POS systems
  • Ability to analyze financial, inventory, retail conditions and/or other data
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Odessa, TX / the largest cluster of stores in the assigned territory
  • Ability to lift and transport promotional materials or product samples weighing up to 55 lbs
