About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive growth among GI/Critical Care target specialists and new accounts
- Meet or exceed sales and profit objectives in assigned accounts
- Educate targeted healthcare providers on the benefits of a novel GI therapy
- Execute concise, compliant, professional, and persuasive selling processes
- Develop and communicate scientific understanding of GI disorders and competitive products
- Cultivate long-term relationships with key accounts and GI opinion leaders
- Develop and implement a territory-specific business plan
- Convey complex clinical and reimbursement product information to key stakeholders
- Execute customer-centric, needs-based selling with targeted healthcare providers
- Use sales reporting systems for call preparation, activity tracking, and market intelligence
- Organize meetings and deliver GI and nutrition content to healthcare professionals
- Conduct promotional programs for professional and patient audiences
- Attend local, regional, and national meetings as directed
- Work with IDN hospital personnel on transition-of-care and discharge protocols
- Manage sales performance of the full portfolio within the assigned geographic territory through marketing strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology or a related field required; alternatively, High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years combined experience in Pharma or Medical sales with demonstrated success and clinical experience
- 3+ years of Medical/Clinical selling experience with demonstrated success in specialty medical products, or the stated high-school-plus-experience alternative
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
- Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
- Consistently meets and exceeds sales targets
- Ability to develop solid and long-standing business relationships with strategic/targeted customers
- Solid financial acumen and analytical skills
- Ability to travel 50% or more
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
