About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive growth among GI/Critical Care target specialists and new accounts
  • Meet or exceed sales and profit objectives in assigned accounts
  • Educate targeted healthcare providers about a novel GI therapy
  • Execute a concise, compliant, professional, and persuasive selling process
  • Develop and communicate scientific understanding of GI disorders and assigned and competitive products
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with key accounts and GI opinion leaders
  • Develop and implement a territory-specific business plan
  • Convey complex clinical and reimbursement product information to key stakeholders
  • Execute customer-centric, needs-based selling with targeted healthcare providers
  • Use sales reporting systems for call preparation, activity tracking, and market intelligence
  • Organize meetings and deliver GI and nutrition content to healthcare professionals
  • Conduct promotional programs for professional and patient audiences
  • Work with IDN hospital personnel on transition-of-care and discharge protocols
  • Attend local, regional, and national meetings as directed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field required; alternatively, High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years combined Pharma or Medical sales experience may qualify
  • 3+ years of Medical/Clinical selling experience with demonstrated success in specialty medical products, or 5+ years combined Pharma or Medical sales experience with demonstrated success and clinical experience
  • Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Consistently meets and exceeds sales targets
  • Ability to develop solid, long-standing business relationships with strategic/targeted customers
  • Solid financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Ability to travel 50% or more
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • No visa sponsorship eligibility
