About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Check issued ingredients for quality and quantity
- Follow recipes when preparing ingredients
- Label ingredients and complete paperwork
- Prepare products for weighers and operators; weigh products when necessary
- Maintain adequate supplies of ingredients, film, and pictorials
- Ensure proper rotation of ingredients, pans, and v-mags
- Follow mid-shift and end-of-shift procedures for food storage, WIP, paperwork, and housekeeping
- Hand load, tape, and stack cases with accurate stamping and coding
- Sort sub-standard product and maintain product appearance for inspection
- Monitor for foreign matter and notify the Team Leader or QA
- Weigh products consistently and accurately at or above minimum speed
- Keep prepweigher stations adequately supplied to prevent line downtime
- Work 1st or 2nd shift on a 10-hour rotating schedule
Requirements
What you’ll need- Basic proficiency in English for verbal and written directions, signs, policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Ability to lift, bend, pull, and handle heavy commodities and equipment repeatedly for a 10-hour shift
- Basic computer data entry
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- 90 days of food manufacturing experience working in a Nestlé factory preferred
