About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide administrative support to multiple Purina factories
- Perform data entry, personnel records management, and training coordination
- Maintain confidentiality and apply federal HR and payroll regulations
- Process employee lifecycle events, pay changes, forms, and records
- Maintain and distribute employee information, policies, procedures, and communications
- Document and share knowledge across the team
- Respond to routine HR inquiries and provide HR systems expertise
- Liaise with HR Centers of Excellence, factory and field personnel, HR Operations, HR Business Partners, and HR Services teams
- Perform routine HR transactions and correspondence
- Process documentation for employment changes and other HR records
- Manage job requisitions, position changes, organizational updates, separations, and retirements
- Assess customer needs and provide guidance or resolution options using multiple HR systems
- Support high-volume workloads for assigned client groups
- Identify and share departmental trends, concerns, and improvement opportunities
- Participate in team calls and support reporting and escalations
- Create, maintain, and improve departmental processes and documentation
- Build relationships with stakeholders and team members
- Ensure employee record accuracy and complete Form I-9 verifications
- Conduct New Hire Orientations as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED equivalent required
- 3+ years of customer service-related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related discipline preferred
- 1+ years prior experience in the field of Human Resources preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Power Platform preferred
- Ability to manage a high volume of transactions within HR systems, including employee and manager inquiries, transfers, promotions, terminations, leaves of absence, and payroll/timekeeping issues
- Strong learning agility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively across groups
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
- Candidates must be local to St. Louis, MO
- Must work on-site Monday through Thursday
- Position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship
