About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate daily operations by assigning inventory, inbound, and outbound workloads through SWOP/SAP EWM
  • Manage picking, loading, and receiving workflows according to appointments and priorities
  • Use PINC/SWOP yard management to arrange trailer moves and align trailers with shipping and receiving doors
  • Perform audits of PINC, bills of lading, ICC, and quality processes
  • File bills of lading at the end of the shift/day
  • Communicate workload matters vertically and laterally in verbal and written form
  • Resolve workflow issues raised by frontline employees to minimize downtime
  • Compile daily workload-status and past-due-carrier reports for outbound appointments
  • Ensure flow procedures are followed by frontline employees and internal and external sources
  • Support operational initiatives, small projects, continuous improvement, and NCE strategies
  • Support facility and department guidelines, processes, and SOPs
  • Attend mandatory training sessions
  • Support inventory control, including inbound/outbound operations, order maintenance, FIFO, and general questions
  • Support fill-rate activities including order packet management, pending/hold management, and pre-pick
  • Answer front-gate calls after hours to ensure site security
  • Perform other assigned projects and duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience required
  • Experience in Logistics Operations environment preferred
  • Experience working with labor planning and assets, including forklifts and sit-downs
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (EWM) and SAP preferred
  • Experience training and mentoring peers
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software applications
  • Able to communicate clearly via phone and email
  • Able to resolve transaction errors with urgency and minimal supervision
  • Able to train and mentor peers in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to manage ongoing system and process changes
  • High degree of attention to detail and consistency
  • Able to meet deadlines and production requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to problem solve and make routine decisions quickly
  • Basic proficiency in English
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 70 pounds with assistance
  • Regularly stand, pull, squat, walk, kneel, reach, climb, and/or balance for 8 to 10 hours daily
