About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage maintenance, upkeep, and compliance of non-production equipment, buildings, infrastructure, facilities, grounds, and utilities
  • Serve as the factory Energy & Water Champion
  • Prepare, administer, and implement long-range capital projects for factory infrastructure and utilities
  • Manage generation and supply of steam, RO water, soft water, refrigeration, compressed air, water, and electricity
  • Ensure plant operations comply with state and federal regulations
  • Manage factory compliance for infrastructure, ammonia, steam generation, compressed air, environmental, safety, and security systems
  • Monitor utility consumption and implement equipment improvements and engineering solutions for efficient, low-cost consumption at the Fremont Plant
  • Use NCE/TPM processes to analyze data, design and implement renovation and innovation improvements, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Oversee safety and environmental activities performed by supervisors and employees
  • Ensure safety and environmental activities are communicated and completed according to plant programs
  • Ensure proper investigation of injuries, incidents, and accidents
  • Consult with the plant Safety/Environmental Management Representative
  • Review accident and incident investigations and implement corrective actions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA degree in related field
  • 3+ years’ experience managing facilities, utilities, environmental compliance and/or maintenance
  • Management experience in Powerhouse operations, ASME boiler code and state laws
  • Ammonia systems operation and maintenance in food processing or pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft Project, Auto-Cad and blueprint reading
  • Ability to lead, develop and energize diverse teams
  • Ability to coach others and enforce policies and procedures
  • Proven collaborative cross-functional working history
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding performance objectives and quality standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and implement preventative action plans
  • Ability to support and enforce contract agreements and government regulations
