About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain Industrial Services equipment and utility systems, including steam and hot water boilers, chilled water systems and water chillers, cooling towers, water treatment systems, air compressors, pumps, fire fighting equipment and pumps, wastewater treatment plant equipment, and feed water and condensate systems
  • Ensure the continuous supply of steam, hot water, compressed air, cooling water, chilled water, drinking water, process water, and fire fighting water based on factory requirements
  • Perform equipment start-up, operation, and shutdown according to established operating procedures
  • Monitor equipment condition, operating parameters, gauges, meters, indicators, and alarms, and report abnormalities
  • Conduct routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, lubrication, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and repair activities
  • Monitor cooling water, lubrication systems, temperatures, pressures, filters, leaks, and other equipment conditions
  • Perform water treatment activities, water analysis, and utilities sampling to ensure required quality standards
  • Record operating parameters, equipment readings, maintenance activities, breakdowns, and other information in logbooks and log sheets
  • Coordinate with Production and other teams regarding utility requirements, equipment status, interruptions, and maintenance activities
  • Identify abnormalities early and take preventive action to help prevent equipment breakdowns
  • Maintain tools, spare parts, equipment records, manuals, work orders, and operational documents
  • Ensure proper shift handover, including equipment status and important operational information
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas
  • Follow factory safety, quality, and environmental requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred and or equivalent
  • Certified Plant Mechanic or graduates of Mechanical Technology or other relevant engineering/technical programs may also be considered
  • Preferably with 1-2 years of related experience in industrial utilities, plant operations, equipment maintenance, or similar functions
  • Experience or knowledge in boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air compressors, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and other utility equipment is an advantage
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, basic equipment troubleshooting, water treatment and analysis, and monitoring of operational parameters
  • Able to properly document equipment readings, operational activities, maintenance work, and shift handovers
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to respond appropriately to equipment abnormalities and operational issues
  • Willing to work in a factory environment and shifting operations
