About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify improvement opportunities in safety, quality, productivity, and cost
- Lead and participate in focused improvement activities and workshops using Lean tools
- Train and assist colleagues in applying 5S, Standard Work, and Visual Controls
- Verify equipment settings against documented centerline standards
- Report deviations from centerline settings to production and maintenance
- Assist maintenance and engineering teams with changeovers and centerlining procedures
- Update and maintain visual centerlining standards and workstation procedures
- Collect and analyze data to measure performance and track project results
- Promote new ways of working and explain the rationale for changes
- Train and coach colleagues on new processes and improvement techniques
- Collaborate with management to communicate challenges, propose solutions, and provide feedback
- Audit work areas to sustain implemented improvements and standards
- Run a line or lead a shift when needed
- Report to the Manufacturing Excellence Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school degree or equivalent
- Proven strong performance in a frontline or hourly operational role
- Preferably a minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain complex ideas to peers and present information clearly to management
- Demonstrated informal leadership skills
- Excellent attendance records
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to identify root causes
- Ability to take ownership of improvement projects with minimal supervision
- Flexibility and confidence to adapt to workplace change
- Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork and cross-functional collaboration
- Blending and Processing experience preferred
