About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement and execute the factory asset maintenance programme to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost
  • Directly lead the engineering shift team
  • Manage shift work requirements to minimise machinery downtime and maximise resource use reactively and proactively
  • Manage existing assets through planned and reactive maintenance
  • Provide input for the annual maintenance budget
  • Report and track maintenance work-order costs
  • Participate in the maintenance team's competence-building plan
  • Develop maintenance methodology competencies within Engineering
  • Build AMM competencies within the Engineering Supporting team
  • Maintain existing Engineering department standards and implement new standards
  • Collaborate with Factory Engineering, production, and site Health and Safety teams to ensure standardisation and compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in engineering (maintenance, industrial, services, E&A), preferably in an FMCG-related manufacturing environment
  • NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline – Essential
  • Completed a time-served apprenticeship – Essential
  • Experience working on CAPEX projects is desirable
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Asset Maintenance Management
  • Experience using SAP
  • Right to work in the UK without Nestlé sponsorship
