About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sheet, scale, and mix ingredients according to the Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Operate scales, meters, mixers, dough hoist, and related mixing equipment
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
- Request and requisition ingredients according to the BOM
- Verify staged ingredients match BOM requirements
- Mix ingredients according to approved SOPs
- Coordinate pallet and tag quantities with the Gatekeeper
- Perform mixing-area setups and breakdowns
- Accurately weigh ingredients, including re-work dough and small ingredients
- Label, color-code, and properly handle containers
- Record batch information, ingredient numbers, temperatures, and machine settings
- Load ingredients into mixers from auxiliary equipment, hoppers, conveyors, scales, meters, buckets, or similar containers
- Clean ingredient packaging before use
- Prepare, clean, and verify equipment for the next production run
- Set mixer timers and programs
- Operate auxiliary equipment to hoist and dump dough
- Clean mixers daily
- Meet consistency and material goals
- Set outputs for the mixing area
- Ensure final products meet customer temperature, dough consistency, and quality specifications
- Suggest labor and supply cost controls and process improvements
- Perform work in compliance with quality, safety, legal, and food safety requirements
- Identify and report potential hazards
- Contribute continuous improvement ideas
- Promote resource efficiency, recycling, and pollution prevention
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- English proficiency (preferred)
- 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (preferred)
- Comfortable with physical labor
- Attention to detail
- Adaptable
- Practices good teamwork
- Mindful of safety practices
- Comfortable working with machinery
- Troubleshoots and problem-solves
