About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain the basic condition of machines within the assigned line
  • Perform improvement activities and repair breakdowns
  • Drive a safe culture and eliminate workplace safety risks
  • Ensure products are manufactured according to quality standards
  • Drive continuous excellence and improvements in key operational manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Working Groups and Autonomous Working Groups
  • Use inspections, abnormalities identification, centerlining, breakdown analysis, and preventive and predictive maintenance to drive improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Foundation of experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Educated to apprenticeship level NVQ 3 or hold a recognised engineering qualification in both mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Passion for continuous improvement and ability to implement enhancements in processes
  • Knowledge of planned preventative asset maintenance practices
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis tools and problem-solving methodologies
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing tools, including Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Proven mechanical comprehension
  • Awareness of food safety and food handling standards
  • Ability to understand and adhere to strict hygiene rules and safety compliance standards
  • Availability for a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern, including days and nights
