About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the factory in ensuring timely and efficient completion of maintenance and compliance-driven tasks
- Drive improvements in the performance of machinery and assets
- Technically support the shift leader
- Develop technical skills within engineering and operational teams
- Participate and contribute to site initiatives including HACCP, ISO9002 and CDM
- Raise purchase orders where required
- Liaise with the Maintenance Coordinator to maintain appropriate stock levels within budgetary constraints
- Take full ownership of action generation and closure for a particular area
- Support continuous improvement and Lean/TPM development
- Report to the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experienced Maintenance Engineer with strong engineering ability
- Experience of modern manufacturing techniques such as 5S, LEAN and TPM would be ideal
- Previous FMCG Engineering experience desirable; other Engineering experience considered
- Educated to HNC or NVQ Level 3 and equivalent experience in an Engineering time served apprenticeship
- Skills working on pneumatic systems, process equipment including gearboxes, drives, pumps, valves, and/or packaging equipment
- Logical fault-finding approach to breakdowns
- Effective communication with a range of stakeholders
- Sense of urgency without compromising safety or product quality
- Must demonstrate own right to work in the UK; Nestlé sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route is not available
