About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the safe execution of maintenance activities for manufacturing, utility services, boilers, compressed air, electrical services, and general building maintenance
  • Provide coaching and skill development to Maintenance and Operations teams in loss elimination, risk management, and life cycle asset management
  • Train, coach, and assess mechanics on Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) maintenance and engineering elements using TPM
  • Guide the factory to reduce technical stoppages and minimize planned and unplanned downtime
  • Review critical lines, processes, and utilities for safety, food safety, environmental, and legal compliance risks
  • Monitor factory and equipment trends and propose and monitor maintenance KPIs
  • Ensure repairs and modifications from gap assessments and factory audits are implemented
  • Ensure work orders are completed on time with high-quality workmanship
  • Ensure accurate job, material, and services planning
  • Ensure equipment history, damage codes, and root cause analyses are completed correctly
  • Evaluate team member performance and provide periodic feedback
  • Share NCE and maintenance best practices across factories
  • Collaborate with corporate engineers, suppliers, contractors, and factory partners
  • Conduct regular factory inspections and solicit operator feedback
  • Consolidate and analyze factory maintenance and repair budgets
  • Drive value-added and sustainable improvements with engineering specialists and managers
  • Manage technical stores, scheduled work orders, labor hour allocation, and equipment BOMs
  • Ensure work execution complies with Nestlé and government regulatory agencies
  • Work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts according to the stated schedule

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, technical, military, or related environment required
  • Willingness to work extended days and/or weekends with flexibility to switch shifts as required
  • Willingness to work in a factory where ambient conditions may be extremely cold, wet, or warm
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to lead, motivate, and develop others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good working knowledge of CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) with the ability to mine and analyze data for trends/reports
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Reliability, or related field) preferred
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, technical, military, or related environment preferred
