About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee maintenance functions supporting manufacturing, processing, packaging, and associated utilities
  • Mentor and develop Maintenance and Operations teams in loss elimination, risk management, and life cycle asset management
  • Train, mentor, and assess mechanics on Nestlé Continuous Excellence and TPM practices
  • Guide the factory in reducing technical equipment stoppages
  • Review critical lines, processes, and utilities for safety, food safety, environmental, and legal risks
  • Monitor plant and equipment trends to reduce planned and unplanned downtime
  • Propose and monitor maintenance key performance indicators
  • Refine maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance and changeovers
  • Maintain processing and packaging equipment and systems to improve reliability and availability
  • Implement repairs and modifications from gap assessments, plant audits, and notifications
  • Own job planning and validate materials and services planning
  • Lead equipment history, damage code, and root cause analysis documentation
  • Develop and lead a network of factory subject matter experts
  • Train and guide SMEs in the NCE Reliability program
  • Evaluate team performance and provide periodic feedback
  • Share maintenance methodologies across Nestlé factories
  • Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, contractors, and plant partners
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, and Quality Management functions
  • Conduct plant inspections and solicit operator feedback
  • Analyze factory maintenance and repair budgets and drive sustainable improvements
  • Run technical stores, scheduled work orders, labor-hour allocation, and equipment BOMs
  • Support TPM-PM Pillar rollout across Nestlé USA and Canada factories
  • Ensure compliance with government regulatory agencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of production equipment maintenance
  • Direct experience managing mechanics for equipment maintenance
  • Knowledge of utilities and facility equipment preferred
  • Strong technical and leadership skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop others
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate, and direct users, teams and multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of TPM / PM Pillar tools
  • Breakdown Analysis
  • Reliability Center Maintenance Practices
  • PM Optimization and Predictive Maintenance Technologies, including infrared, ultrasonic, and vibration analysis
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for food safety
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of maintenance cost drivers in manufacturing operations
  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems such as SAP and Maximo, with ability to analyze data for trends/reports
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must be eligible to work without visa sponsorship
