About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical leadership and support across departments and shifts
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure teams have the necessary tools, supplies, and equipment
  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure adherence to safe work practices
  • Address personnel, mechanical, and resource-related challenges
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Maintenance and Quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Guide the team toward safety and productivity goals
  • Manage labor and material costs
  • Oversee work orders using SAP and shift handoff documentation
  • Create a positive, productive environment for associates
  • Train and develop associates through individual and team coaching
  • Provide information and resources to support decision-making and problem-solving
  • Communicate administrative matters, policies, procedures, performance, and work-related information through meetings and one-on-one contacts
  • Document incidents requiring disciplinary action
  • Draft procedures and schedule team work schedules and vacations in Kronos
  • Complete supply requests, maintenance requests, and administrative forms
  • Reduce technical equipment stoppages and review critical processes and utilities
  • Monitor plant and equipment trends to reduce planned and unplanned downtime
  • Propose and monitor key performance indicators in accordance with Best Maintenance Practices
  • Refine Maintenance activities to minimize planned and unplanned downtime, including PMs and changeovers
  • Support the site as needed and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Relevant internships, co-op experience, academic projects, military experience, or equivalent hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of professional experience
  • Demonstrated leadership potential through work experience, internships, academic projects, student organizations, athletics, military service, or other leadership opportunities
  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or direct experience with Maintenance Planning and/or supervision preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven leadership and planning capabilities
  • Proficient in computer systems
  • Experience with SAP or AMM highly desirable
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and coaching skills
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and clarify complex issues
  • Proactive in identifying and recommending new opportunities for improvement
