About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform assigned preventative and predictive maintenance on industrial and packaging machinery
- Troubleshoot PLCs
- Improve the functionality and safe working order of manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Adhere to safety policies and identify and report hazards immediately
- Follow factory and divisional quality standards and maintain a zero-defect, zero-waste attitude without compromising safety or regulatory compliance
- Perform required quality checks according to the factory quality system
- Work the night shift from 7pm–7am on a rotating weekly schedule with every other weekend off
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military or related environment OR a two-year technical degree completed
- Knowledge of bearings, conveyors, sprockets, power transmissions, chains, basic pneumatics/hydraulic systems, pump operations, and rigging terminology/utilization
- Knowledge of Ohm’s law, series and parallel circuits, motor connections and power sources, AC/DC motors, and transformers
- Ability to identify electrical components and their functions
- Knowledge and utilization of PPE and safety for welding/cutting tasks
- Knowledge of stick/MIG welding techniques, equipment setup, basic gas cutting, proper grounding, and equipment maintenance
- Knowledge of lubrication purposes and appropriate lubrication types
- Ability to collect and analyze oil samples as needed
- Adherence to safety, regulatory, factory, divisional, and quality standards
- Understanding of and compliance with the Nestlé Quality Management System
