About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the laboratory department by performing and/or coordinating laboratory processes
  • Register and prepare samples for analytical testing through data entry, weighing, and physical homogenization
  • Prepare and perform routine to complex analyses according to NQAC methods
  • Read and record analysis results while matching identification numbers to correct samples
  • Operate basic laboratory equipment, including balances, pH meters, and autoclaves
  • Support quality processes for the laboratory and center
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining QA documents, plans, and ICPs
  • Document QA data and report to lead or management
  • Maintain equipment in reliable working order, make capable repairs or modifications, or request repairs
  • Participate in or lead Lean Laboratory initiatives
  • Assist with reviewing, improving, and documenting processes or methods
  • Attend assigned internal and external training programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant academic coursework or 1-year practical relevant experience in an analytical laboratory highly preferred
  • Rising junior or senior preferred
  • Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Food Safety, or another STEM-related major preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Basic English reading, writing, and speaking skills
  • Professionalism
  • Ability to perform trained tasks and follow laboratory SOPs
  • Ability to contribute to a team environment and build effective relationships
  • Ability to learn new tasks within the expected amount of time
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
