About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set up equipment and ensure meat and meat mixtures are available for punctual production startup
  • Review recipes and deviations daily
  • Complete accurate and up-to-date paperwork
  • Provide the oven operator with accurate raw weights at designated intervals
  • Monitor patties and prevent overlapping on the conveyor belt
  • Reduce meat spillage and scrap; complete scrap and WIP tickets
  • Keep meat and meat mixtures covered and labeled
  • Remove condensation from walls, equipment, doors, and ceilings
  • Obtain and calibrate scales as needed
  • Maintain proper weight control
  • Operate equipment only when Code 10-quality product is being produced
  • Check the area hourly for condensation and keep floors clean and free of grease, trash, and meat particles
  • Use meat in order of oldest grinding day codes and lowest batch numbers
  • Pull the E-cord and clear patties when excessive overlap occurs
  • Efficiently operate the former, mondo, Reitz mixer, inspect, and infeed positions
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Team Leader

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Repeat heavy lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
  • Basic computer data entry required
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Basic proficiency in English to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies, and procedures
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • 90 days of food manufacturing experience working in a Nestlé factory preferred
  • Position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
