About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and oversee ocean shipment processes and execution to ensure efficient operations
  • Lead volume submissions and monitor allocation variances based on the forecast
  • Manage and guide the use of Shipment Management Systems
  • Maintain relationships with markets, ocean carriers, and Global Logistics Procurement
  • Proactively resolve issues and drive performance improvements
  • Manage allocation submissions and prioritize transportation capacity requests
  • Oversee allocation compliance and SLA adherence
  • Serve as the focal point for logistics teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders
  • Consolidate and review volumes for the annual tender
  • Align volumes, allocations, routes, rates, and contracts with markets, OHUB, GLP, and carriers
  • Share volumes, transit times, contract notifications, and changes with stakeholders
  • Request new routes and additional volumes after the tender
  • Verify that routes and allocations are registered in carrier systems
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly allocation checks
  • Communicate changes during Monthly Operational Reviews
  • Perform additional operational activities and health checks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Business Administration, Business, or a related field
  • Advanced English (required)
  • Advanced Spanish (required)
  • Experience in the freight forwarding or ocean shipping industry, including import/export operations
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of physical logistics
  • Experience in Supply Chain Project Management
  • Experience managing or working with and for suppliers
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to resolve issues quickly
