About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate various machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Ensure product quality and quantity by following SOPs and GMPs
  • Match labels with batch records
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of common machine faults
  • Perform routine maintenance according to operator manuals
  • Load, unload, set up, clean, adjust, and disassemble machinery as required
  • Complete accurate scaling, measuring, documentation, and data entry using paper records, electronic devices, PCs, software, and iPads
  • Report damaged or inconsistent materials to the supervisor or lead
  • Conduct or assist with overflow jobs in the operations department
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and consistent attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
  • 0–2 years of experience in a prior factory environment preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Basic mathematical skills: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
  • Ability to utilize and understand basic digital devices such as computers and iPads
  • Ability to follow safety procedures, including Nestlé’s Life Saving Rules
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English and comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, climb, and bend in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of inventory requirements and adjustments preferred
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing equipment preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed
  • Ability to work in an environment exposed to powders, chemicals, and food allergens
  • Must not require visa sponsorship
