About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support packaging projects and factory trials for new products, packaging changes and optimization of existing packaging, focusing on line performance, cost efficiency, timely delivery and product quality
  • Provide packaging input for new product introductions and improvement projects by evaluating suitable packaging alternatives and supporting cross-functional project teams
  • Plan, execute and document factory trials, including machinability, shelf-life, storage and handling, laboratory and transport tests, to validate new packaging materials and specification changes
  • Support implementation of packaging-related quality, safety and compliance requirements
  • Maintain packaging material specifications and related records in the GLOBE database, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date
  • Analyze packaging-related consumer complaints, identify root causes and coordinate corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Procurement and suppliers to improve packaging performance, ensure safety, quality and compliance, optimize material usage and support new product and packaging development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or a related discipline
  • Interest in packaging development, manufacturing operations and continuous improvement
  • Good understanding of packaging materials, production lines, quality controls and factory trials
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical improvements
  • Ability to coordinate projects and work effectively with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Procurement and external suppliers
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline and commitment to safety, quality and compliance
  • Clear communication skills and confidence to share technical knowledge with shop-floor teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with packaging specifications, databases or continuous-improvement tools will be an advantage
