About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define, document and implement packaging solutions aligned with Nestlé packaging policy on quality, safety and compliance
  • Support integration of packaging specifications into SAP through specification creation
  • Act as a packaging subject matter expert for initiatives involving new product introduction, productivity, quality and cost improvement
  • Recommend and lead packaging development programs that reduce distribution cost or damage and provide competitive advantage
  • Introduce and deliver new and revised packaging concepts and processes focused on environmental footprint, functionality and consumer value
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality/R&D and Sales/Marketing to manage the Material Qualification process
  • Provide technical support for installation and commissioning of new packaging equipment and line-layout modifications
  • Provide frontline support to factories and transfer packaging-mastership knowledge to eliminate root causes of assistance requests
  • Serve as project manager on specific projects as assigned
  • Provide technical support, guidance and expertise to operators, supervisors and other functions for packaging-related projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS degree in Packaging Science/Engineering or related field
  • 0–3 years of relevant packaging industry experience related to the food and beverage industry
  • Clear understanding of packaging specifications, design, materials, equipment and systems
  • Working knowledge of project life cycle deliverables, contracts and schedules
  • General understanding of industry standards of Regulatory Compliance and Food Safety
  • Highly motivated, critical thinker, goal oriented and adaptable to change
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performing and inclusive environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and assignments
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project
