About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Achieve performance targets by following SOP processes and adhering to standards
  • Operate machines and systems
  • Run an extrusion line while ensuring high levels of safety, quality and hygiene
  • Produce high-quality pet food products
  • Work as part of a team to deliver quality products
  • Support factory activities to achieve KPIs
  • Identify SHE priorities and near misses and agree interim or permanent solutions
  • Adhere to SHE, QA and environmental standards
  • Lead and manage the team during shifts for productivity, competency building and crisis management
  • Walk around the process to identify abnormalities and plan interventions
  • Assist in leading and developing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Report to the Line Performance Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experienced Line Operator
  • Ideally worked in a Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP) environment
  • Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Principles
  • Thorough and professional approach
  • Commitment to personal and others’ safety
  • Commitment to delivering high quality products
  • Ownership and strong results focus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Problem-solving ability and interest in how things work
  • Ability to generate ideas to improve safety, quality and performance
  • Ability to work a continental shift pattern of 2 days, 2 nights, then 4 days off
  • Flexibility to work in different areas of the department and plant
