About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead sourcing strategies for Brand Advertising and Consumer Marketing categories
  • Manage RFPs, supplier negotiations, contracting, and category management
  • Manage up to $100 million in annual spend across Media, Creative and Content Agencies, Packaging, Production, Influencer Marketing, Partnerships, Consumer Insights & Analytics, and Innovation
  • Develop and implement long-term marketing category strategies and sourcing pipeline plans
  • Optimize spend, reduce costs, and maximize value across addressable spend
  • Develop and manage continuous improvement pipelines and track savings with Finance
  • Understand business requirements through stakeholder management
  • Identify and implement initiatives to achieve cost savings and high customer satisfaction
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships with suppliers, Legal, and Marketing teams
  • Conduct market research and analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and performance metrics
  • Manage sourcing, supplier selection, pricing, contracting, and commercialization
  • Negotiate and implement supplier agreements
  • Monitor supplier contract compliance and develop supplier improvement plans
  • Establish proactive risk management strategies and resolve issues with business stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with Procurement and company policies, procedures, and practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in Category Management and Procurement
  • Experience with SAP ERP is preferred
  • Deep subject matter expertise in Marketing categories, including Brand Advertising, Consumer Marketing, and Media investments
  • Strong procurement experience supporting manufacturing, commercial, and corporate functions across diverse operating models
  • Experience managing marketing spend categories within the consumer products, wellness, nutraceutical, or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, category management, and procurement best practices
  • Experience developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver measurable business value and innovative solutions
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and category strategy development
  • Excellent project management skills, including RFP and RFQ management
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis and business process evaluation
  • Proven experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, including MSAs, media and agency contracts, sponsorship agreements, influencer partnerships, licensing agreements, SLAs, and KPI-based performance arrangements
  • Foundational financial acumen, including P&L analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Ability to navigate and succeed within a matrixed organization
