About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage development, scale-up, and implementation of new and existing technologies
  • Improve performance of existing products and develop new products
  • Explore innovative pet food product/process applications based on current food technology
  • Serve as a technical resource for marketing
  • Develop technical project plans and timelines for assigned projects
  • Support product formulation, including ingredient, nutritional, regulatory, and analytical requirements
  • Monitor and provide product maintenance using standardized scientific procedures
  • Initiate and implement cost-reduction ideas for assigned product lines and factories
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing operations
  • Qualify new raw materials and suppliers
  • Lead performance, waste-reduction, and quality-improvement projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience in product development (food), formulation and scale-up experience, or related; OR High School Diploma/GED and 7+ years of experience in product development (food), formulation and scale-up experience, or related
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time
  • Science background
  • Food formulation experience
  • This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship
