About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Healthy Snacks category for infants, toddlers, and older children
  • Act as technical lead to identify solutions, deliver innovation and renovation initiatives, and drive optimization and improvement projects
  • Lead product development activities from concept to commercialization, introducing new products and processes within factories
  • Ensure product and process safety, stability, legality, cost, quality, compliance, and consumer relevance
  • Steer projects on-time, on-budget, and against key success criteria
  • Partner with global Nestlé experts to leverage innovative capabilities and drive product superiority
  • Lead technical projects across manufacturing operations, raw material sourcing, quality improvements, cost savings, and compliance
  • Drive ingredient qualification, supplier onboarding, technical acceptance, and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Lead recipe optimizations to improve manufacturability
  • Apply problem-solving skills and scientific knowledge to improve operational excellence
  • Lead onboarding, evaluation, and qualification of raw materials and suppliers, including allergen and claims assessment
  • Develop product and process standards in compliance with Nestlé requirements, external regulations, and industry benchmarks
  • Provide subject matter expertise and first-line support to factories and co-manufacturing partners in ingredients, recipes, and processing
  • Define, develop, and coach competencies and training materials for product/process mastership
  • Represent the Technical Applications Group globally and externally

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS or MS degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in product development within the CPG industry
  • Preferred experience in baking, extrusion, and other low moisture food technologies
  • Strong understanding of project management with the ability to lead project teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, oral, and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking, goal orientation, adaptability, and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with SAP, Recipe Management and PLM systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%, primarily within North America
