About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide day-to-day tactical, on-the-floor leadership on the 3rd shift
- Set an example for safety, product quality, and line performance
- Provide coaching for success and motivate team members
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Perform sanitation audits, food safety checks, and product quality checks according to policies
- Participate in prevention and correction of quality-related errors
- Facilitate handoffs
- Communicate key information to peers, team members, and Production Management
- Learn Nestlé processes and procedures while developing leadership and management skills
Requirements
What you’ll need- Food manufacturing with production floor experience preferred
- Experience in a Continuous Improvement environment, Lean manufacturing, or TPM preferred
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment through proper housekeeping and safety practices
- Ability to adjust communication style to multiple audiences
- Ability to communicate issues, ideas, feedback, and information in a timely manner
- Excellent people skills and ability to motivate people
- Ability to coach individuals for performance and provide appropriate support
- Confidence in own capabilities and judgment
- Willingness to face challenging situations
- Ability to build personal relationships based on trust, mutual respect, and open communication
