About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Rotate job responsibilities between Meat-Prep, Processing, Retorts, and Packaging teams
- Own a designated area of responsibility within the assigned team
- Understand and cover all job tasks within the team on a routine rotation basis
- Cover similar job functions throughout the plant as needed
- Operate, shut down, change over, and clean machinery
- Perform day-to-day troubleshooting to support safe, quality production
- Follow factory safety and work rules
- Complete team tasks to safely produce products while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain basic equipment condition through Cleaning, Inspection, and Lubrication activities
- Provide on-shift troubleshooting support for technical breakdowns and minor stoppages
- Ensure Cleaning-Inspection-Lubrication activities are appropriately allocated to the maintenance budget
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12 months+ experience working in a manufacturing, production, agriculture, warehouse, military or related environment
- Must be open to all shifts including nights and weekends
- Ability to work safely in hot or cold temperatures
- Ability to work with raw materials used to make pet food
- Ability to work with ladders, stairs, or heights
