Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate first-line management functions for production planning, production output, equipment maintenance, people management, quality, safety, and sanitation
Directly supervise hourly employees in the processing department of dry extruded pet food
Manage processing or packaging schedules to maximize output while minimizing costs
Participate in problem solving to achieve production and cost goals
Lead and coach integrated work groups according to the factory’s continuous improvement plan
Coordinate repairs and modifications with engineering and maintenance
Ensure products comply with quality checkpoints and Good Manufacturing Practices
Provide a safe working environment for employees
Drive continuous improvement efforts across the plant

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED required
2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment
1+ years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment
Availability for all shifts as required for business needs
Availability for 12-hour overnight shifts
