About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the shift, line, or area team to safely deliver the production plan while meeting quality, food safety, compliance, and performance expectations
  • Build and develop an engaged, capable team through staffing, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, and accountability
  • Collaborate across functions and model Nestlé’s Ways of Winning
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, GMP, sanitation, quality, and operational standards
  • Monitor daily results, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement using NCE/TPM principles and root cause problem solving
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, and other support teams to resolve issues and improve line performance
  • Ensure skills, resources, equipment readiness, and maintenance priorities support reliable operations
  • Lead change, including new product launches, process improvements, and business priorities
  • Maintain accurate documentation, communication, and timely escalation of issues, risks, and opportunities
  • Ensure effective staffing, team deployment, attendance management, performance management, and crew development
  • Minimize overtime and maintain a properly skilled crew
  • Deliver scheduled production on time, within cost, and to quality standards
  • Support area budget and capital planning while identifying productivity improvements
  • Maintain accurate and timely records

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum associate’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Food Science, or Organizational Leadership/Supervision preferred (not required)
  • Flexibility to work the 3rd shift, 2-2-3 schedule, and switch shifts as required
  • 2 or more years in food manufacturing with production floor experience required
  • Experience in food processing, packaging, Quality, and Supply Chain
  • Knowledge of GMPs
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Continuous Improvement environment
  • Lean manufacturing or TPM experience preferred
  • Strong housekeeping, safety practices, and risk awareness
  • Effective speaking, writing, listening, coaching, and information-sharing skills
  • Ability to build trust, motivate teams, and coach employees
  • Sound judgment and accountability when addressing challenges and noncompliance
  • Adaptability to changing priorities, responsibilities, work styles, and business needs
  • Strong organization, follow-up, and objective-setting skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and root cause problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business systems
