About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as technical owner for assigned factory utility systems from design to final handover
- Support the Project Utilities Lead with utility project scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Develop utility concepts and technical specifications for HVAC, steam, compressed air, water systems, CIP, and wastewater
- Coordinate technical interfaces between utilities, production lines, and site infrastructure
- Manage day-to-day technical coordination with external engineering firms, contractors, and equipment suppliers
- Ensure compliance with Nestlé Engineering standards, SHE requirements, and local regulations
- Support layout development and utility integration within the overall factory design
- Oversee installation, commissioning, qualification, and start-up activities
- Identify utility-related technical risks and propose mitigation measures
- Support energy efficiency, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure smooth technical handover to Operations and Maintenance teams
- Report to the Utilities Project Manager and work with process engineering, operations, maintenance, and external engineering partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or energy systems engineering)
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in utility or infrastructure engineering within industrial or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of industrial utility systems, including HVAC, steam, compressed air, water treatment, wastewater, and CIP
- Experience with capital projects from design through commissioning and start-up
- Familiarity with hygienic design principles and GMP requirements
- Experience with Nestlé Engineering and SHE standards is a strong advantage
- Understanding of budget tracking and cost control principles
- Familiarity with SAP and project management tools is a plus
- Strong analytical, structured, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
- Experience in food, pharma, or FMCG industry is an advantage
