About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute quality activities for the production, validation, and release of Infant Cereals and Baby Meals
  • Serve as Quality Assurance liaison to the production facility
  • Develop, revise, and implement forms and SOPs supporting quality systems and business-unit programs
  • Attend Daily Operational Reviews for the applicable business unit
  • Participate in product/process improvement and packaging-material change projects
  • Write protocols and support validation activities
  • Support corporate projects as Quality liaison
  • Assist with Quality Compliance Audits and work with USDA, FDA, Kosher, Halal, and Organic certification/regulatory parties
  • Develop, provide, and facilitate Quality Training modules
  • Perform batch-record and CCP reviews
  • Support in-line Quality verifications and training
  • Liaise with material suppliers
  • Back up SSOP, Pre-Op, and other inspections
  • Lead root-cause analysis reviews for held products and quality-compliance incidents
  • Serve on the Factory Food Safety Team and lead HACCP/QMS reviews
  • Perform annual verification activities, including CIP and CCP/OPRP
  • Liaise with the NGMP champion on 5S, visual standards, and TPM standards
  • Support NCE continuous improvement and Quality requirements for functional assessments and manufacturing practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related technical field required
  • Minimum of three to five years of related Quality experience in a manufacturing environment; food or beverage industry preferred
  • Superior written and oral communication and planning skills
  • Proficiency with PCs and Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Mini Tab, and Visio
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, set priorities, work under minimal supervision, and establish credible working relationships
  • Ability to work independently and translate technical, quality, and compliance theory into practical application
  • Ability to manage projects and deliverables from start to finish with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of production processes and equipment
  • Ability to interact effectively with management, department members, and document/data stakeholders
  • Team development and proactive coordination skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory standards including GMP
