About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform and document routine sample processing and assays using written operating procedures, standard laboratory methods, and basic laboratory techniques and equipment
  • Conduct routine to complex laboratory procedures and tests
  • Register and prepare samples through data entry, weighing, and physical homogenization
  • Read and record analytical results while matching identification numbers to samples
  • Review and approve analytical testing results when requested
  • Operate balances, pH meters, autoclaves, and other basic laboratory equipment
  • Prepare and verify standards and reagents
  • Generate, record, and calculate analytical data
  • Perform routine laboratory and department maintenance
  • Interpret preliminary data or observations and draft short reports for supervisors
  • Follow NQAC SOPs and safety regulations
  • Maintain QA documents, plans, and ICPs; document QA data and report to lead or management
  • Maintain equipment, perform capable repairs or modifications, or request repairs
  • Identify and resolve process problems
  • Participate in or lead Lean Laboratory initiatives
  • Assist with process or method documentation and reviews
  • Attend assigned internal and external training
  • Train other associates as experience and job needs dictate
  • Coordinate assigned work with technicians and scientists

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Undergraduate degree in closely related science preferred (Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, etc.)
  • Relevant academic coursework or 1 year practical relevant experience in an analytical laboratory preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • English language skills (basic reading, writing, speaking, etc.)
  • Ability to perform trained tasks at an above base level efficiency pace
  • Ability to review and synthesize conclusions from analytical data
  • Ability to execute non-routine tasks with little supervision
