About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for NDC Fremont’s Pilot Plant and site operations
  • Manage day-to-day pilot plant operations to execute trials for strategic R&D initiatives
  • Plan and coordinate Pilot Plant trials
  • Coordinate maintenance and improvement of pilot plant equipment and local IT infrastructure
  • Ensure facility and infrastructure compliance with Quality & Food Safety, SH&E, Nestlé policies, guidelines, and regulations
  • Ensure material and finished product availability through procurement and final disposition
  • Lead and coach the team toward performance objectives and career development
  • Support innovation and transfer knowledge of new technologies for industrialization and factory start-up
  • Facilitate small- to medium-scale pilot plant projects
  • Manage operating expenses and continuously improve operational efficiency, effectiveness, and capacity
  • Partner with the Quality Management lead and provide leadership for the NMS program

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years related work experience
  • Experience managing people in a technical or operational function
  • Experience leading or contributing to CapEx project submissions
  • Basic project management experience would be an added benefit
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 22000, NQMS, HACCP, Food Safety, NGMP, and EFCA
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop people
  • Strong team player with excellent communication, relational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Digital and AI tools in manufacturing preferred
