About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote excellence in Safety, Health, and Environmental Sustainability at the site
- Provide SH&E guidance, support, and training
- Ensure daily compliance with government laws/regulations and Nestlé policies
- Complete and maintain assessments to identify hazards
- Collaborate with the onsite team to create action plans to eliminate identified hazards
- Coordinate, support, and facilitate SH&E training
- Provide support, guidance, and leadership for SH&E programs
- Guide and oversee incident investigations, follow-up, and recordkeeping
- Analyze SH&E conditions and recommend changes to improve facility performance
- Participate on the SHE committee team
- Conduct risk assessments for existing jobs and new equipment/processes
- Maintain an audit-ready state of compliance with company policies and external regulatory requirements
- Implement SOPs supporting compliance with company and regulatory agency policies
- Maintain and report accurate SH&E data and metrics at the site and in Nestlé systems
- Ensure day-to-day compliance with Security and SH&E guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in safety, health, environmental, or similar discipline is preferred
- Professional certifications in SH&E-related fields are beneficial, including CSP, CIH, OHST, and NEBOSH
- At least 1 year of experience in a Safety & Health role or related field in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution center environment is strongly preferred
- Understanding of ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001, LEAN, and TPM concepts
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT
- Ability to reference, comprehend, and communicate applicable regulations
- Technical understanding of SH&E topics and their relationship to production/engineering job functions
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment
- Ability to make well-informed decisions in routine and non-routine situations
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence cross-functionally
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detailed and results-oriented
- Proficiency with Windows-based applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
