About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage radio traffic to and from patrol officers, campus departments, and on-campus emergency and non-emergency lines
- Maintain location and status of mobile units using a computer aided dispatch system
- Log daily activities in high detail and capture call information efficiently
- Provide vehicle information to security teams using the limited REJIS portal
- Answer emergency telephone lines and gather information to dispatch or notify emergency assistance and lifesaving equipment
- Answer non-emergency telephone lines and respond to inquiries from associates, visitors, contractors, and departments including executive leadership
- Monitor cameras in key areas of Purina HQ, Purina Farms, and Flight Operations and investigate security threats
- Use CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, mass communications, public address, and visitor management technologies
- Maintain lost and found articles, including logging, tagging, and documentation
- Ensure patrol officer equipment is signed out and returned
- Verify badge status and maintain access control
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of verifiable work history in Law Enforcement, 911 Communications or a similar field
- Ability to work various shifts, weekends & holidays, including extended hours as required
