About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure timely booking of outbound international freight according to affiliate delivery demands, corporate sales targets, and product supply availability
- Collaborate with corporate supply chain and intermarket members, accounting leadership, third-party carriers, Nestlé Purina distribution centers, production plants, and customer distribution centers
- Submit AES filings with CBP
- Prepare necessary documents and complete customs clearance procedures
- Manage shipment exceptions and troubleshoot issues
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Conduct financial procedures and operating metrics, including detention management, automation objectives, and expedite decisions
- Contact carriers for load-tender status and monitor shipments for on-time pickup, transit, and delivery
- Notify relevant groups of ocean transportation issues and work with Intermarket to resolve them
- Ensure appointment schedules align with ocean carrier booking confirmations
- Manage returns with the Accounting Lead and QA
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, freight forwarding, and international logistics
- Experience in freight forwarding preferred
- Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and relevant laws and regulations
- Ability to submit AES (automatic export system) filings with CBP
- Ability to conduct financial procedures and operating metrics
- Ability to monitor international shipments and manage shipment exceptions
- This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship
