About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and execute transportation activities for efficient product movement and on-time delivery
- Create and validate optimized freight orders
- Manage planning exceptions, carrier selection, and shipment changes
- Monitor shipments in transit and identify service risks
- Implement corrective actions to minimize delivery disruptions
- Collaborate with carriers, customer service teams, facilities, and cross-functional partners
- Maintain transportation data, appointment scheduling, and shipment documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, operational excellence programs, and transportation process enhancements
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred
- Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or a related operational environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and resolve transportation or service-related issues
- Experience with transportation management systems, freight planning tools, or similar operational systems
- Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills
- Experience in a fast-paced transportation, distribution, or supply chain environment preferred
- Experience managing carrier relationships and transportation exceptions preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and transportation or logistics systems preferred
