About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the custodian of stewardship and governance for the facility
  • Act as senior co-pilot to the Factory Manager and Factory Leadership Team, with direct dialogue with the Operations Controller
  • Own all factory financial matters and provide fact-based decision-making for short- and long-term initiatives
  • Provide visibility and forecasts for factory process costs through analysis and reporting
  • Monitor budgets and control variances
  • Identify, drive, deliver, validate, review, and track cost improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to improvement projects and initiatives and drive NCE activities aligned with business OMP
  • Manage and interpret factory actuals and forecast reporting for stakeholders
  • Ensure reporting transparency, accuracy, timeliness, and data ownership
  • Lead strategic financial analyses for major factory decisions
  • Drive business planning and manage the overall factory budget
  • Liaise between the factory and Head Office during business planning
  • Perform forecasts and revise simulations as needed
  • Develop and control capital investment evaluations, including post-CAPEX evaluations
  • Coach and develop factory personnel, including career and succession planning
  • Ensure factory finance personnel meet or exceed performance expectations
  • Drive understanding of financial figures, costing, and business impact, including training non-specialists
  • Manage routine factory audits and ensure compliance with NAS, Costing Standards, statutory accounting/tax, and OPEX guidelines
  • Champion site compliance and risk management and serve as key contact for internal and external audits
  • Ensure control and visibility of assets and liabilities and implement compliant internal controls
  • Manage Segregation of Duties and monitor internal control effectiveness
  • Escalate business risks appropriately

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in financial operations
  • Solid accounting background
  • Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Finance and/or Accounting, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting, activity-based costing, cash flow, NPV, IRR, and ROI
  • Hands-on knowledge of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Ability to understand and communicate product profit and loss drivers
  • Intermediate to advanced financial modeling
  • Experience within a network organization with internal and external providers
  • FMCG industry experience preferred
  • Strong people management experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time, information, and resources to meet deadlines
  • Strong business acumen, financial and analytical skills
  • Ability to draw conclusions, develop recommendations, and communicate with non-finance professionals
  • Ability to partner with customers and cross-functional teams to drive results
  • Ability to influence business decisions with concrete financial support
  • Proven ability to drive change
