About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as R&D representative for the corresponding VMS brand
- Align business needs with R&D opportunities
- Co-lead the Innovation & Renovation pipeline and develop short-, mid-, and long-term innovation plans
- Provide technical expertise on new ingredients, products, and processes
- Translate science and technology solutions into commercially viable pipeline opportunities
- Oversee the strategic VMS project portfolio
- Partner with Product Development and Project Management teams to deliver innovation launches on time and within budget
- Build and manage strategic partnerships across the Nestlé R&D network, suppliers, and external stakeholders
- Strengthen organizational capabilities and develop talent, succession pipelines, and knowledge transfer plans
- Network with relevant R&D units, business partners, markets, and external partners
- Comply with Nestlé Integrated Management Systems and company policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline required
- 10+ years of R&D experience
- Track record of leading innovation and managing technical knowledge within operational environments
- Proven leadership skills working with global business and market stakeholders
- Deep understanding of the VMS industry, competitive landscape, and evolving consumer insights
- Enthusiasm for leveraging digital tools and technologies
- Ability to navigate cross-functional and matrixed environments
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Ability to influence diverse audiences
- Strong integrity, accountability, and professional ethics
