Key responsibilities & impact

Provide strategic leadership for complex, cross-functional technical projects across innovation, renovation, business maintenance, total delivered cost, supply continuity, compliance, and other business-critical initiatives
Oversee projects from concept through launch and closure, ensuring on-time, in-scope, quality delivery
Align stakeholders on project strategy, scope, success criteria, resources, risks, and execution plans
Monitor schedules, critical paths, budgets, dependencies, and portfolio health
Proactively address risks and escalate critical issues
Lead selected strategic, complex, or high-risk projects
Lead, coach, and develop direct reports
Assign resources based on priorities, workload, complexity, and development needs
Build succession and coverage plans
Lead project and portfolio governance and manage capacity planning and resource allocation
Recommend project prioritization, sequencing, pausing, or cancellation
Provide leadership with portfolio insights, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations
Improve project management processes, tools, systems, governance standards, data integrity, documentation, and performance measures
Clarify cross-functional roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and handoffs
Establish standards, share best practices, and strengthen project management competencies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 10 years of relevant cross-functional experience in Technical Applications, Research and Development, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Contract Manufacturing, Engineering, or Manufacturing
Minimum of 8 years of project management experience leading complex initiatives in new product development, life sciences, engineering, or capital projects
Project management professional certification or an advanced degree in project management is preferred
Previous people-management experience is preferred
