About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead manufacturing capability assessment, deployment planning and scale-up readiness for MILO Snacking
- Build and maintain visibility of manufacturing capabilities, capacity, technologies, equipment and operating constraints across the region
- Identify manufacturing locations and deployment routes for new MILO Snacking opportunities
- Provide recommendations on technical feasibility, manufacturing fit, risks, dependencies and indicative timings
- Ensure concepts and prototypes are designed for manufacturability and scale-up
- Develop preliminary process concepts and manufacturing pathways for regional deployment
- Create and coordinate integrated technical deployment plans, including decisions, trials, handovers and readiness milestones
- Lead preparation and coordination of pilot, factory and co-manufacturer trials
- Identify technical risks and connect projects with appropriate expertise
- Translate product and process learning into transfer packages for manufacturing teams
- Capture and share learning across sandwich biscuits, wafers, filled and coated products, nibbling formats and emerging MILO Snacking technologies
- Influence stakeholders across functions, factories and markets without direct authority
- Coordinate manufacturing readiness and deployment in partnership with Engineering, specialist technical teams and factories
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree level or higher in Food Technology, Food Science, Engineering or a related discipline
- Significant relevant experience in food manufacturing, process development, product development or industrialisation
- Ideally at least five years of relevant experience
- Experience across both R&D and factory environments
- Experience within food manufacturing, ideally confectionery, bakery or a related product category
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment capabilities and scale-up principles
- Ability to assess technical feasibility and translate concepts into practical manufacturing solutions
- Experience coordinating factory trials, process development, industrialisation or technology deployment
- Understanding of equipment modification, capital investment and implementation dependencies
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to influence across R&D, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, factories and co-manufacturers without direct authority
- Ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information, ambiguity and competing priorities
- Clear communication of assumptions, risks, recommendations and decision requirements
- Up-to-date knowledge of quality, food safety and hygiene requirements
- Willingness to travel within Asia, Oceania and Africa, and globally where required
