About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage complex research and development projects for Nestlé Nutrition’s Global Baby Food Meals & Drinks Category
- Develop new science and technologies, new product launches, strategic roadmaps and pipelines, and new concepts
- Lead projects from front-end innovation through industrialization and launch
- Define and communicate project scope, objectives, and expectations with senior management and stakeholders
- Facilitate front-end innovation activities and enable decision-making
- Align strategies and approaches for project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure
- Identify resource requirements and lead project planning
- Build and manage end-to-end project schedules, define critical paths, track activities, communicate status reports, and escalate critical issues
- Build and maintain project budgets
- Connect Science and Technology data, facts, and people to deliver competitive solutions
- Manage roadblocks and risk mitigation plans
- Coordinate project meetings, kickoffs, team meetings, and risk assessments
- Engage and communicate with partners, stakeholders, and decision makers
- Facilitate post-launch reviews, communicate learnings, and propose continuous improvement actions
- Apply and continuously improve Nestlé’s I&R processes and tools
- Lead, coach, influence, motivate, and develop cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams
- Create transparency, structure, collaboration, and clarity during complexity and ambiguity
- Develop alternative scenarios to minimize risk and improve quality, speed, and cost
- Coach peers, project team members, and Project Managers
- Connect internally and externally to leverage knowledge and enhance competitive advantage
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least five years of experience in project management of large-scale cross-functional and multidisciplinary projects with high business impact
- Experience in the FMCG industry, in R&D and/or Operations/Manufacturing
- BS in a related science field, such as Food Science, Material Sciences, Agricultural or Environmental Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Packaging, or related sciences
- Project Management certification such as PMP, ITIL, or COBIT and/or Nestlé PM dossier is a plus
- Demonstrated innovation mindset with Consumer, Customer, and Business Opportunity thinking
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead, energize, and steer multifunctional teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
- Excellent coaching skills
- Demonstrated growth mindset, agility, courage, curiosity, resilience, and adaptability in uncertain and ambiguous contexts
- Ability to travel 10–20% domestically and internationally
