About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive and lead large/strategic R&D projects with high impact on the company
- Manage cross-business and cross-category R&D/development projects aligned with the Nestlé Continuous Excellence initiative
- Interact with business leads, Corporate R&D, Operations, CTAG, APG, and other functions to deliver project objectives
- Deliver products, processes, systems, and solutions with defined quality, timing, and cost
- Consider future commercial success, project context, Nutrition Health Wellness, and Creating Shared Value strategies
- Control scope changes through proactive communication with stakeholders
- Drive execution of innovation and renovation
- Encourage exploration and rapid prototyping
- Ensure adequate project resources and competencies, including budget management
- Manage line managers, team leaders, project managers, senior specialists, subprojects, and the overall project team
- Facilitate and coach project teams and enhance collaboration across R&D, Technical and Business Units, IP, Global Regulatory, and external partners
- Coordinate with launching markets and agencies for consumer testing
- Contribute to project management training within R&D and outside R&D where appropriate
- Create synergies through networking with R&D Units, business partners, markets, SBUs, Head Office, and external partners through Open Innovation
- Manage stakeholders and negotiate with Nestlé decision makers and internal and external business partners
- Present the category at SBU meetings, including Innovation Portfolio Meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required
- Masters preferred
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Operations, or R&D and/or Corporate Functions
- Minimum 3 years’ related project management experience
- Project Management Professional, PMP certification
- Experience successfully collaborating and leading teams as project manager or team leader
- Experience working in a matrix-like structure in a functionally structured environment
- Ability to take decisions and solve problems
- Proven communication skills and ability to present confidently and convincingly to steering committees
- Experience in I2L process
- Experience in the new project management process
- Experience in the briefing process
- Capability to see the complete picture
- Ability to challenge stakeholders, clients, sponsors, and team members to achieve the best result and control project scope creep
- Ability to create a climate for success
